Premier Essential Scents Featured at One of Hollywood’s Big Events for Celebrities
SEPTEMBER 2016- It isn’t every day a person receives an invitation to participate in one of Hollywood’s biggest events to meet and celebrate the accomplishments of celebrities. Just ask Deirdre Huff, managing owner of Premier Essential Scents.
“I was contacted personally by Nathalie Dubois of the DPA Group,” stated Huff. “One of her interns discovered my website through the Handcrafted Soap and Cosmetic Guild (HSCG). DPA searches for unique products for celebrity swag bags and the selected products are given out during an invitation-only pre-awards gifting suite.” Dubois Pelin and Associates (also referred to as the DPA Group) is a world-renowned agency that identifies and showcases brands from emerging and industrialized markets at high-profile events scheduled in the U.S., Canada, Middle East, and Asia. The agency’s “DPA Gifting Suite” has received recognition by several media conglomerates around the world.
After being contacted by Dubois, Huff worked diligently to ensure her brand was well represented at the September event. “The [overall] prep time was 3 months,” said Huff. “I prepared and sent samples of my product to the DPA Group for approval. Once approved, I then started to prepare product for event attendees consisting of various press along nominated directors, writers, actors, and actresses.”
Huff’s preparation, professionalism, and energy paid off. The morning of the event, NBC’s local station in Los Angeles conducted a live broadcast segment in the DPA pre-award gift suite where Premier Essential Scents was one of few brands to be recognized as an event vendor on television. Huff shared, “The pre-awards gifting suite experience was surreal. Not only did I have the opportunity to meet a lot of celebrities I watched in movies and on television, [the event] also allowed me to share my products with them. It gave my small business more exposure.”
